Simone Gutting didn't actually want to become a winemaker. But when her sister married into another business, she quit her job in business and took over the management of the organic wine business in Duttweiler from her parents in 2016. Her grandfather founded the winery in 1954, while Simone's mother was one of the first female master winemakers in the Palatinate
5 - Visiting Daniela Bischoff in the Enzkreis district

Daniela Bischoff moved to her husband's farm in Dietlingen 15 years ago for love. The trained dental technician is now a full-blooded farmer. Suckler cow husbandry, rearing calves, poultry and eggs are the mainstays of the farm. Daniela also gives yoga classes - she and her husband met in a yoga studio and are both yoga teachers.
4 - Visiting Manuela Holtmann in the Vulkaneifel region

Michaela Holtmann's farm is located in Gillenfeld, next to the Pulvermaar in the Vulkaneifel. The trained farmer took it over from her mother in 1984 and boldly switched from cattle to goats. 190 animals of the "White and Colored German Edelziege" breed are milked twice a day. The milk is processed into up to 50 different types of cheese in the farm's own cheese dairy. They have already won prizes for this.

Icelandic horses are Caro Brück's passion. She brought 20 of them from the Westerwald to her husband's farm in Saarland. Caro and Steve want to become full-time farmers in the future with saddleback pigs, laying hens and oilseeds.

Elise Paluch runs the Haettelihof farm on the outskirts of Constance with her husband Thomas. The couple founded the organic farm in 2000. Elise also offers courses for children and adults in which they learn more about how to interact with each other.

Anna Lippner runs a dairy sheep farm in Taisersdorf with her brother David. The farm is also home to horses, donkeys, mini pigs, goats, ducks, geese, chickens, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, which Anna mainly uses for her educational programs.

Five to six self-confident countrywomen and proud farm owners travel in a delightfully old-fashioned bus, built in 1963. The journey passes pretty villages, imposing castles and lush landscapes.
